Changing the buttons?

I want to change the buttons for already existing civs, but I don't know in which map to save them in. I've tried to save my America button in the vanilla version files, but it wont work! I have BtS btw. Were must I save buttons for vanilla civs?

...erm, for changing buttons, you have to create a mod.
To change the buttons, you have to correctly link it in the xml\art\civ4ArtDefines_Civilization.xml.
