I don't like to play in Prehistoric Era. When I choose Ancient Era to load new game, I got 50000BC and all prehistoric technologies. I don't know how change it and on what year.

We have really only just started on the task of creating a balanced start for the ancient era. This means that any feedback will be most useful.

I am assuming you are asking how to set the start date and asking what it should be. I am not sure? ls612 do you know how to set that?

How many cities do you reckon you (and AI players) should start with if you start ancient? What sort of units and improvements? Or do you think a single settler and one warrior is enough?

I know that we may need to change the animals spawn stuff to account for the turns being not the same as dates.

Yes they do.

As DH tried to point out NO era but Preh is set up as a starting point for this Mod.

This Mod is designed specifically to start in the Prehistoric era. If you start in any ERA But Preh you will have aberrations and strangeness. Like starting dates of 50,000 BC whether you chose Ancient or any other era.

So, you can't change it, right?

If you were a modder yes.

By the way, this mod (C2C) is NOT at all concerned about dates anyways, because they just dont line up, sorry, so changing the date to a different time wont really matter, sorry.

I personally NEVER even look at the dates anyways.

It can be changed, I just don't know how? Probably should Google it.

Its easy, but like i said for what purpose, C2C, does NOT go by dates anyways. But if you really want to change it, PM me, i will let you know, but pls have a back-up ready when you do.

All mods have different starting dates for the purpose of the the start era option. So should C2C! We just haven't put it in the XML. I just don't know where that file is. It should be trivial.
