Christianism

Now, if you see a pic which name is "Christianity" and in the pic there is two Romans staring up in disbelief, a dark sky, blood on a big wooden pole you should be able to form an idea in your head, based on the picture: "That could be the Christ who's being crucified by the Romans".

true- but its till not as oviousas wouldbe preffered- that said, how exactley dose one go about makeing one own splash? I'd rather make my own version that more suits my particuler vision, even if it is of an over all inferor quality then go with somthing that seems in my eyes a complelly unrealted picture if you did not know what it was supposed to be represent, even if it is of a better quality then my own potential work

I'm not sure how to make one's own splash, but perhaps you could just snip something out of an existing photo and convert it into whatever the format needs to be? (Therein lies the rub!) Maybe something along these lines?

yes- that is very much the type of image i was lookign to getr as the s[lash.. but then, how do I convert it to the spalsh format, and, mor eimportantlly, what is that format?

It's a .pcx and standard size is 320x320 pixels. Name the file Jesusplash.pcx. Write a wondersplash entry in pediaicons.txt:

#WON_SPLASH_BLDG_Christianity
art\wonder splash\Jesusplash.pcx

So all I'd have to do would be convert the image into pcx format (using, say, Irfanview) and (if I wanted) crop it to 320x320 pixels, then Xen could use this as his splash? No "palette" issues or other things of which I know nothing???

Edit: I just did it, maybe this will work, maybe it won't. Notice I called it "Grünewaldsplash.pcx" :) http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/Grünewaldsplash.zip
(No disrespect intended to Rufus by doing this, by the way)

Edit #2: uh, why won't my upload work? I uploaded it to "uploads7" oh so nicely, and if I click there then my file downloads, but not here. What am I doing wrong?

No clue. Culture? Happiness?

(I attached the splash file here, with the trusty "attach file" function that one can't use in the Edit mode... :))

Ok, palette issues:

As long as first color of pcx is magenta (red255,green0,blue255) and second light green (r0,g255,b0) in Photoshop color table.

in Jasc Photopaint palette magenta would be one before last and light green the last one I think.

Because someone don't like my splash and don't make any effort to know better one of the greatest religion in the world, this is the new one: the classical martoriated Christ, for me not a good symbol of Christian doctrine...

Quartering your science rate for about 1500 years sounds appropriate.

thanks rufus, I'm sorry if it dosetn conform to what your veiw on a symbol of chrsitianity shoudl be, and you did not have to make it in the first place- but I dont thinkt here is anyone who coudl disgree in slightest when i say that the second splash is by far th emore obvious symbol of the religion

not nearlly finalized yet, same staus with the other religions in the scenario I'm makeing

 Geez, now its open season on Christianity here. Like usual, not one once of outrage from anyone.

And I would hardly say Christianity ******** science, quite the opposite actually! Did you know that the Hospital was a Christian Invention? Or that acclaimed medical scientists such as Louis Pastur were Christians? True Christianity follows the teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ, which the Catholic Church(As well as the Conquistidors and the American Colonists who killed the Native Americas or stole their land) in the Middle Ages obviously did not.

So there! :p

The Conquistadors and the Colonists were much more Christian than people are now. The Conquistadors set up missionaries all over the place, the entire American colonism thing was done by all these Christians. They were more Christian than you are.

I don't hate Christianity for the genocide of the Native Americans, I dislike it because it is a religion which badly influences the rightful rights of humanity.
