Citizen Initiative - Starting the Game (AKA Creation Day) Act of 4000 BC

We should have an announcement with some time for people to read it. You should also post the start time (GMT and EST), too. The turnchats have typically been held in the #demogame room on the irc.irc-chat.net server.

Is that why #turnchat is so quiet?

I meant #turnchat. #demogame was the original turnchat thread until everyone didn't want to give up their op-ship (chatroom "moderator" status), then #turnchat was made. #turnchat is usually used only for the turnchats, but you can chat in it.

I rather not set up the game. I just feel I get unlucky, and I'm also bound to screw something up. I rather have a DP do it, since it's technically playing the save. I also fear the locked modified assets, since every time I create a mp game with that, none of the other players can start the game. (Although I'm not sure about SP games.)

Please view the Designated Player Pool in the Offices Thread for further information.

(Also on a totally unrelated side note, deputy positions have opened under the Chieftain, one of them concerning the dp pool.)

Why in heaven's name do we need such a long and detailed initiative for this?

Umm, perhaps you didn't read the whole thread. ;)

Since we seem to be passing sufficient laws, and conducting elections in plenty of time to start, this resolution won't be needed.

Thanks to all who commented.

I kinda looked at it like a proclamation - something to honor a specific occasion. True, a bit longer than most, but that's how I looked at it.
