I had a weird bug occur, and I figured it out but wanted to post this to help anyone else who encounters it.
I editted a civ and gave it a list of new city names. It turns out, I left a trailing space at the end of one of the city names, and whenever I founded a city, that same city name would be in the name box. What is supposed to happen is that as you found new cities, the next unused name in the city name list would be provided as the new city name. But in my case, the same name showed up even though I already had a city by that name. Only slightly annoying.... but worth fixing. After I went in and took out the empty space at the end of that cities name in the City names box of that Civilization in the Editor, it worked fine.
