Here we go again :mischief:

We will need 2 names now.

We need a name for Rheims, the former French city near Coppertown.
We also need a name for the city to be founded in the north, unofficially called Banana City.
We might also need names for Marseille, Lyons, Orleans and the barbarian city. Feel free to nominate names for these cities, but be aware that these names will not be polled until we've actually captured the cities.

If I'm not mistaken, this thread should be open for at least 4 days, and then all suggestions that have been seconded should be polled.

By the way, please mention for which city your city names are, we wouldn't want a banana city without banana's :p.

I suggest Côte d'Azur for Rheims (I don't think that [civ4] likes the ô though, we should change it to Cote d'Azur in-game).

I suggest Bananadine for Banana City.

Why do we have to change the name of Rheims?

We don't... I would think it's current name would be a default option in any rename poll.

Just to be sure I would like to suggest Rheims for Rheims then :). And for "Bananacity" I suggest Dolexot (Dole is a banana brand, хот is Mongolian for city)

I like that name Dolexot, interesting to have an x, can anyone provide pronunciation on that though?

I'd also like to suggest that we rename Rheims as Port Falcon in honor of the warlord responsible for its capture.

Considering that the "x" is probably Cyrillic "Kha," it would be pronounced "Dole-khot" ("Dol-chot" for you Scots and Germans); i.e. the x would be pronounced like "Ch" in the correct pronunciations of "loch", "Bach", and "Chaim".
