City placement advise

I played my first game after the tutorial and I received the free advice for cityplacement in the desert. I learnt in my youth that the best thing you can do with free advice, is to pass it trough. Do you guys think also that it is not a good idea to place the city in the desert?
That close to a river is always better?

1. The game recommends you place a city in the desert because it will provide you with a valuable port and access to those two resources south and northeast of the recommended city location. I don't know that this is the very best place to put a city so early, but it's not crazy advice.

2. This is not a bug. You're more likely to get good answers to such questions in the "General Discussions" forum.

Am I in bug reports? oops you are right.

I guess I forgot to navigate back, I was in bug report because I searched for an answer why Ive no music and why I dont see the AI faces when negotiating. It is a black window.
