I apologize for the next request, but there is something squirly going on with your game that the logs are not quite showing the problem, only symptoms.Okay, here it is. Sorry about delay, big difference in time-zones. I notice the file does say DX12 in use but I have to specify DX11 for playing CivVI at start-up, it won't work on DX12.
Done a full search of my hard drive for "install". Lots of hits but nothing obviously Civ. Can you recommend any other search terms?Hi again. I have uninstalled the game again. There are now only Base and Launchpad directories at the location you specify (both with files in them) and there wasn't an Install directory before I uninstalled. Where else might this install directory be? I did a search in the Steam directory for "install" which came up wth some files (nothing CivVI specific to my untrained eye) but no directories.
Rereading this I think I may have misunderstood you. I thought I was looking for an "install" subdirectory within the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\. If that IS the install directory, there are files in it after uninstall which I attach, including Launcher_log. Apologies for any confusion.I apologize for the next request, but there is something squirly going on with your game that the logs are not quite showing the problem, only symptoms.
Engineering would like you to do an uninstall, and then check the install directory to see if there is ANYTHING other than empty directories. Typically, the install directory is here, but it may be different on your machine.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\
If there are still files in this directory (not just empty folder), let me know what files are still around. Then delete everything and reinstall.
Thanks for your patience, I really appreciate you working with us to get to the bottom of this.
