Civ 3 Conquests Start Problems

When I double clicked the icon on my desktop absoleutly nothing happened! So I tried my start menu and it didn't work either! So now I went to run and the splash or whatever its called cme but then I got this message:
A debugger has been detected
Unload the debugger and try again. A few minutes ago it was a message involving sound files and I've NEVER downloaded a scenario or mod. Please help!

I wish someone had helped you because I have the same problem.

Conquest just won't just start! And I've uninstalled and re-installed it. Twice. Apparently it occured without any problems. Still it doesn't work...

Don't you have any complilers installed, especially Microsoft ones? old version of Microsoft Visual Basic give option to debugg program after programm's hang. Try to uninstall it. I don't know if it's the reason for this problem (I never had so) but it can (maybe) help.
