CIV 4 BTS screen freeze when opening advisor windows.

Hi there,

When I play Civ 4 BTS Version 3.0.0.91, it is very smooth and all the animations are good. However, the moment I try to open an advisor window, such as the tech tree advisor, or when another CiV talks to me, my screen freezes for 15 seconds or more before the screen opens. Please help. I am running on windows vista and have a 512MB Nvidia Card and a 2.26 GhZ dual core processor with 8 MB cache.

I seem to remember some reports of anti-virus software interfering, try turning it off.

Try reducing your graphics settings.

If you post your dxdiag results that may help someone offer more assistance.

if that fails open civilizationIV.ini and set hidemoviebackground from 0 to 1
