hey when i try to patch civ 4 complete with the newest patches manually, it says cannot find install and it quits, when i try to auto update it says latest version installed even though its the rtm version. can someone please help me figure out how to get the patches installed, my install directory is
E:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete

According to this post Civ4 Complete should already be patched to the latest version.

I believe that there is a separate problem with patches not recognising that Civ4 Complete is installed. IIRC someone posted a registry fix for that but I don't recall in which thread. :(

Complete is in deed complete in that it does not need to be patched as of today. Should there be another patch for either of the three games (another one for Beyond the Sword has been hinted at) then I fully expect that they will have to make a special one for complete since the install path is very different.

thanks for the info, the thing that was throwing me off was the version number in the advanced menu, i thought it was rtm for the normal release, and that it wasn't truly up to date...

I have installed Civ 4 complete. My problem is that the world map has a border that is straight, from the top to bottom. The units can't see nor move beyond this edge - the world is not 'round'.

What can I do to correct this problem?

Wrong topic, but a quick answer - your map is probably not set to cylindrical. Flat maps do exactly as you describe, and are used for smaller 'scenario' maps, I believe. In Custom Game, set the map type to Cylindrical and you'll get the normal behaviour.
