of course, I don't have anything like this on my comp!
I manually save and load games from here:
C:\Documents and Settings\1
however, autosaves are saved here:
C:\Documents and Settings\1\Мои документы\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Saves\single\auto

there have been numerous problems with that - and quite a few discussions and proposed solutions... I won't be online until tomorrow but will post back with the links. you can search for that here as well if you need it faster

reading a bit through those threads - this seems to mostly have been an xml-parsing error - not what happens in your casehttp://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=6926170
I have not come across any such errors with other posters - so I am at a loss as to what to do.
