CIV 4 Gold Edition Money cheat

I need a money cheat for the civ 4 gold edition, single player.
I cant find it online, can anyone point me in the right direction or or tell me which file needs to be altered and which way

In-game press Ctrl+W and I think there is options to increase gold there, if not edit the ini file in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 (or if you are talking about Warlords, put Warlords here) and set the cheat code to chipotle, then in game press ~ (above Tab) and type help to figure out how the hell you use the damn thing.

Build lots of cottages and farms and tell your cities to emphasize commerce. This cheat will increase your money supply throughout the entire game.

That is the best cheat, it's true.

Another one I like is to go into a city, build units (Axemen are pretty hax0rz), start a war, move them into enemy territotry and then you can use the 'pillage' exploit to get money. Of course, to activate this cheat you have to hit left,right,left,X,B,A,Left at the opening menu.

or you can just wait to get a great merchant and use the turn exploit to get tons of gold per turn (hold shift and click add great person to city millions of times ;P)

the closest thing to a "cheat" is the chipotle thing then pressing ctrl W then make ur civ rich

I balance it out by aiding the computer Opponents, I give em, units, money, change unit size,screw with diplomacy etc...etc..I balance it to my taste. Thx again.

All you want is to give yourself a buttload of money, and the same amount to each of the AI's, correct?

probably he didn't think about that ctrl w is world builder, I never use keyboard shortcuts so i didn't realize until I thought about it.
