Civ 5 Art Competition - Voting Round 1a

Because of the large amount of entries, we have to break this into four groups. You are allowed to vote for one logo in each of these four groups, and the top 5 entries from each group will move forward to a "final".

This poll will stay open for 1 week.

I didn't even vote for my own.. the simple V wins it for me

The simple V is nice, but I went with the second one, CiV.

After staring to long at all the alternatives and all the attempts to make something out of the letter V, I must say the seventh alternative (CIV 5) felt somewhat refreshing.

Was going to vote for the second one like most have but then I decided to take a look at the icon. (The civ4 one.)
I think the civ5 icon should be different enough you can easily tell them apart... and the first two in this thread are just too similar, imo.

I like the seventh one. It has a '5' in it, immediately recognizable!

Civ5. The V's are the obvious choice, but the "Civ5" icon is completely distinguished.

And, it looks very rounded and nice.

Given that the 2nd will be the likely winner in this thread (currently leading 202 vs 117), I would like to make an appeal to the jury to also allow some strong runners up in this thread to advance to the finals. The 3rd one ("V") and 7th one ("Civ5") are very refreshing and also of high quality whereas in two of the other threads my vote would was "none of the above".

That way we'll have an intersting field in the finals and gives people the opportunity to view the strongest alternatives side by side. Just taking the top ranked icon for each thread puts the runners up at an unfair disadvantage.
