First off, I have Civ 5 along with all DLCs and expansions purchased through Steam, I have a mac[book pro running version 10.8.3. For the last couple of weeks I have played Civ 5 fine, without any troubles. Yesterday I enabled mods on my game and downloaded a few mods. When I started up the game it was fine and worked perfectly with the mods. I quit the game and continued to download more mods before I started playing a full length game. I downloaded one mod; the fishing technology, (I later realized this mod was not compatible with my version of Civ 5, which is Brave New World). Once I started the game back up it crashed at the end of the startup video. I have since deleted all the mods, verified the cache (multiple times), completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, as well as, deleted and redonwloaded steam, but my Civ 5 still continues to crash at the end of the startup video. I have noticed that when I click on 'properties' of Civ 5 in steam it says that my expansions (G&K and BNW) are not installed. I'm thinking this might be the problem because I am launching Civ 5 BNW but BNW is not installed on steam, so perhaps that is why it is crashing. However, even if that is the case, how can I force install the expansions on steam? They are suppose to install automatically. Thank you for any help, it is much appreciated. I'm dying to play!
