Civ 5 G&K CPU Utilization

I have had Civ 5 G&K for a long time. Recently my system has been very laggy in game for both existing games and new games. When I am in the game, even if it is idle, my system is using 20-30% of the CPUs. It is so laggy that it is un-playable.

Any idea's on why it is so slow?


I am running Civ 5 1.0.3.18
