I've been playing a game recently as the Shoshone, and for the 200 turns that I have played on Quick Mode, nothing interesting seems to be happening:
1-The World Congress hasn't been founded yet and most of the divs are in the industrial era
2-Brazil has a huge army of about 10 Pikeman, I show up with 1 in my city closest to the border, and they decide to give up and retreat
3-The only war I'm seeing is the one with Genghis Khan and about 10 different city-states

Is anybody else having this problem?

How is it possible the wc hasn't been founded yet on quick speed? If the AI are playing too nice with each other, just bribe a few to attack and watch the world descend into chaos.

I've seen plenty of games like this. Sometimes you will have an AI holed up in the middle of a continent, either due to placement or warfare. If they have no path to the sea, traditional sailing doesn't find them, and with how ridiculous most open border arrangements are now, it's possible for them to stay hidden behind a big civ for a long time.

Turn 200 on quick speed and an AI is still making pikes?? Turn 200 is like information era time and possible science vic time. What in the heck?

You' playing in which difficulty? If it's lol, that's the reason. Just try raising it. And, ig you want a "fun" game, put Hiawatha, Alex, Darius and Dido in one game. Seriously, they always piss me off.

If you have a good PC, try playing the PlayEurope mod with all the European CIVs in.

It's chaos.

Once one person gets denounced, half the map also denounces them, and there's pretty much 5+ constant wars going on.

It's really Europe. We saw what some good denounces can make in WWI.
