[GS] Civ 6 quality of life mods and enhancements

I prefer not to use mods, mostly due to incompatibility every time the game is patched, updated, or a new XP (or pack of an XP) is released. The only quality of life mod that I would seek is something that gives you one of those turn notices in the lower right part of the screen for every city that gained a population point that turn. Does that exist, preferably by itself, or not preferably as part of a larger quality mod?

Custom Notifications does exactly what you what. Also includes notifications for city borders expanding and trade deals expiring. Each type of notification is optional so you can disable ones you don't want (e.g. I usually disable the border expansion notifications later in the game when I have a ton of land and don't really care about new tiles since I've already bought the ones I needed).

Wow, thank you so much! Sounds like exactly what I need, and thanks for the link. Now, as someone who doesn't use mods, does this one bring up compatibility issues? Meaning, do you need to install a new version of it every time the game is patched/updated? Thanks again!

This one has been fine for a while, but whether or not updates break a mod is ultimately dependent on the mod. I've only ever used these "quality of life" type mods (e.g. custom notifications, better reports, etc), and only for the last ~6 months, but none of the recent updates have broken them.

I have a list...
  • Appeal, Loyalty, and Prestige Font Icons
  • Better Balanced Starts
  • Better Report Screen
  • City Sprawl Graphics
  • City Lights
  • CIVITAS City-States
  • Colorized Historic Moments
  • Enhanced Mod Manager
  • Extended Policy Cards (requires Better Report Screen)
  • Leugi's Unique District Icons
  • Notification Log
  • Policy Change Reminder
  • Reduced Mountain Clumping
  • Removable Districts
  • Simplified Combat Reports
  • Simplified Gossip
  • Steel and Thunder: Unit Expansion
  • Sukritact's Civ Selection Screen
  • Sukritact's Simple UI Adjustments
  • Terra Mirabilis (and ALL of Sukritact's Natural Wonders)
This isn't even half of the mods I'm using currently, but these are probably the ones I like best and recommend. Most of them are self-explanatory, Enhanced Mod Manager and Sukritact's Civ Selection Screen are extremely useful outside of the game, as the Mod Manager makes it easier to sort through mods, and the Selection Screen sorts the Leaders into their respective Civs, rather than flattening you with a list of them all. Sukritact's Simple UI and Extended Policy Cards provides so much info up front that it's mind boggling that they aren't in the game outright. Simple UI is probably used by everyone here, but Extended Policy cards shows what yields will be changed by slotting them into your Government, allowing you to somewhat see what changes will occur before you update your Government Cards. City Lights, Steel and Thunder, CIVITAS City-States, and Terra Mirabilis act like a full on expansion on their own, adding new Districts, Units, City-State types, and Natural Wonders respectively, completely revamping how you would play the game, and revitalizing the game's replaybility for me. Appeal, Loyalty, and Prestige Font Icons adds new icons in text bubbles for Appeal and Loyalty, and renames Diplomatic Victory Points to Prestige, because Victory Points is a bit game-y, and also adds a icon for it, as well. Removable Districts makes life easier. City Sprawl adds more houses around Districts that are adjacent to your City Center to give it that "urban center" feel.

I could keep going on. Just check these out.
