Hey man!
What is all that mascarade with the special abilities. I am the boss and my civilization has my best abilities.
Can we disable or modify that option?
How does it work when I make a custom civilization?

I agree in principle that special abilities are bad for two reasons. First, the modifiers really oversimplify the differences and do not really effect how the civilization behaves. Second, I think the player should be the determining force in the civilization.

However, I think special abilities could make for interesting variations in play, and could be really useful in scenario creation.

they said something about an option to let the player have the decision of having it on or off. Logicly speaking the choice should be given before the game, along with how many opponent civs and how difficute you want it.

Yes, it's an option. An excellent option if you ask me. 16 cloned civs is not what I'm looking forward to.

I think it's a big improvement from being "agressive militaristic expansionists" describing the leader as to the civs having their own features.
