This was a special request made to me some time ago. I'm not sure if the requester is still around, and I'm not sure if anyone will be interested in this beyond him. :) Still, here it is. One neat thing about modding civs is that you get to learn a bit about a culture's history that you may never have otherwise bothered to learn. And the history of Yemen is indeed interesting, to say the least.

Yemeni Empire

Techs: Hunting, The Wheel

Leaders:
- Muhammad al-Badr (Spiritual/Creative - Hereditary Rule)
- Yahya ibn Muhammad (Philosophical/Spiritual - Theocracy)

Unique Unit: Maqil Warrior (replaces Knight, ignores terrain penalty)

Flag: Yemeni Coat of Arms

Notes:

- I had wanted to use Muhammad III un-Nasir bin al-Mahdi Ahmed as a leader, but info was difficult to find
- history on the Maqil Warriors was also scarce; any info would be appreciated

Hello Wyz, the mod looks good, it seems neater and more well made than some others ive seen.

Have you thought of making an Iranian civ? Starting to become very important internationally now. The UU could be a very cheap but weaker infrantry unit, to symbolise the method of attack in the iran iraq conflict. Child soldiers were apparently used extensively, so perhaps two of the three infrantry soldiers in the unit could be changed into the boy from the settler unit. Edit to add ak's?

Just an idea i had.
