Hello. I wanted to come back to civ and play some Community Patch Goodness. So I downloaded the latest 12-13 version and went in game. Went to the mod section. Selected all those installed CPP mods and pressed next. And it crashed to desktop. No error, nothing. IT keeps crashing. Why?

It's only the 12-13 CPP package. No more mods.

This happened to me once. Turns out I had some corrupted files. Try a repair or a reinstallation via Steam.

I deleted and re-installed Civ 5 through steam. I just uninstalled it and downloaded again. Did not help :/

I feel like there's some ghost mods corrupting my game.

I deleted ALL mods from MODS folder. And my game (started a fresh save) looks like this. I think something's not right, vanilla doesn't look like this, does it?

City name plates are not even showing. What could be the problem?

P.S. I just walked on MY OWN city and it said I could attack it. Something's not right...

O God the advisors :cringe:

I don't remember what vanilla was like tbh lol although I don't think city names should be invisible.

Did you try restarting your computer? :P

Reinstalling one more time. This time I made sure I REALLY deleted everything from the install directory and documents...

I FIXED IT. Apparently even an uninstaller didn't uninstall some leftover files that were corrupting my game. Apparently I was using some mods I forgot about before that ruined everything. ALL GOOD AND NICE. Thank you for your help.
