Sorry to say but your Graphic card has issues. Update driver or try a few tweak, if nothing works, time for warranty.

Quite a known issue arising , google for it and you'll see.

i updated it and nothing,i adore civ and played it almoust 8 months and didn't had any probem, but few days ago that just happend.I bought this computer just for civ,a tried everything, searched all google and nothing, removed drivers, inserted new ones 12.4 and nothing

If the hardware itself is not dying, then you may need to clean the dust out of your computer; for it may just be overheating. If there is no dust clogging the cooling vents of the GPU, then the robust nature of CIV 5 has found a weak spot in the card and if it continues to get worse, the card will need to be replaced like z220580 was trying to say.

I also bought a pc for civ n that issue started a month after n it got more frequent. I tried everything, from changing power supply to full, tweaked civ 3d settings in nvidia, changed phys x, even tweaked the registry to give windows more time to recover from the failure. The error stopped for an entire month n last week out the blue it happened again, I sent my gaming laptop to Asus now. No civ for 2weeks :-(

i think it's RAM,i changed places of RAM cards and problem dissapired,it's insane but worked.

You might want to look into replacing that DIMM. As robust as the game is, it might find the glitch again sooner or later.
