Civ III - Civilization3Xd Errors

First of all, I have originals. Civ III, Conquest & Play the World.

For some odd reason recently I keep getting an error a few minutes into the game, Civilization3Xd playing Play the world, now if I try to play Conquests, as soon as I click the mouse to skip the intro, the game disapears as if it never started... I am running Windows XP, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled the game and still get the errors.

I loaded the games onto another computer that has vista, I can play Conquests but when I try to run Play the World, the page that has the choices, Quick Start, load game, is in all Months ???

Any help would be appreciated as Atari doesnt support this anymore...
