So, I just Civ III Complete on Steam, and I'm having an incredibly hard time trying to get it to run. The game doesn't start up at all, which is very frustrating and confusing.

I've don a little bit of research, but haven't been able to successfully implement any of the solutions. Any ideas or suggestions?

Note: I attached a screenshot of my files and what I think is the .ini file (I could be totally wrong). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I haven't heard of CAII having any problems particular to the Steam version, but I've read it can be tricky on Windows 7 or Vista. Puppeteer put together a guide video here that is reported to be helpful, so that help you solve that particular issue (I'm on XP, so I can't vouch for it myself).

I'm not sure if PTW is usually available if you buy Complete or not. Can someone with Complete confirm or deny?

That is the .ini file, and it looks normal. I'm afraid that means I don't have any particular suggestions.

Do you get any Steam popups at all when starting, or absolutely nothing? I've seen it happen where the initial Steam startup for a game gets tripped up installing DirectX or somehting like that, but in those cases there's usually a popup of some sort when you try to start it.
