CIV IV crashes after the Intro :mad:

Hello

I have never had problems with CIV IV (I have the European Version), but after I start CIV IV BTS the Intro as usual begins, and then after the intro finishes the game crashes(A blue screen with lots of numbers appears) then there is something written like "Memory Dumping"????

Has anyone an idea? I think I'll need some good tipps.

That would be the fabled Blue Screen of Death. You're lucky you have your PC set up right - for most people their PC just suddenly reboots.

Most of the time this is caused by bad drivers or bad memory. The blue screen should say something about what file caused the problem toward the top. If that file changes most every time then it's likely you have some bad memory. If it's one file all the time then it's probably that one file.

Have you recently put in some RAM? I did this and got the blue screen of death when playing Civ 4 (where previously I had never had a problem). I traced it back to a faulty RAM I had. I replaced it and it worked fine there after.
