Wow! I barely figure out how civ gold works and getting the hang of that when every one I know is starting to civ II, okay so now I get hooked 'big time' on civ II , and they all move onto civ III. Hey slow down. Now I'm playing civ III, and here comes civ IV. Boy am I slow!
My big main concern is the hotseat. Will there be a hotseat on civ IV. We don't play multiplayer over the internet as I'm the only one connect to it.
The graphics look great on civ IV! Can't wait to get started on it, but that will have to be after the first of the year for me.
:)

Shewolf... from the looks of Civ IV, you'll be able to keep up just fine... and as far as hotseat... here ya go

In addition to the standard internet, Hot Seat, and LAN multiplayer modes, Civ IV will be playable by email (PBEM) or on a persistent turn-based server (named Pitboss) out of the box. There is also a new Team Play option which allows players to form alliances with each other in multiplayer games.

Straight from this site to you... and if you are the only one only, you should try some multiplayer with others... we aren't all pros... plus, you can team up with someone that is good and turtle while they stomp the AI... :goodjob:

Er. It has been a while, what is a "hotseat"
Hotseat is an option to play multiplayer on a single computer, with players taking turns at the keyboard/mouse/monitor.

That's how we played all multiplayer games before the ascent of internet, young one.

   The good old days...

Don't feel too bad, shewolf, I still play civ1. Never did like the isometric diamonds they introduced in civ2. I'm glad that civ4 is going back to square...um squares.

Also, I'm sure there will be some way to rig up hotseat. Even if you have to play an email game, you can have all the emails on 1 computer, eh?
