Civ IV - Mac No CD Hack

I am a legal and legitimate owner of Civ IV for the Mac. However, I do not like traveling with the original CD. It uses battery power and I am afraid that eventually I will leave it someplace or scratch it. Are there patches or suggestions to run Civ IV without the CD?

I have successfully used sd4hide and alcohol for my windows machine (I purchased the CD for it as well!). Any similar solutions for the Mac?

As such, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards piracy, or any piracy-related discussions.

I suggest that you just be very careful to take your CD out of the drive, and put it away in a case when not in use.
