Civ IV Online: Warlords and Regular Version Compatible?

Are Warlords and the Regular version of Civ IV compatible online?

In other words, can I play online with a non-warlords owner or will I have to reinstall the regular version?

I haven't tried this myself, but warlords seems to be a seperate install.. So if you go into your civ directory, you can still run the original.

You can't install warlords without install civ4 regular version.

I believe what he is trying to say is that if he has warlords expansion installed, can he still play vanilla with a friend of his that doesn't have the expansion.. The answer is yes! Just run the original instead of the expansion icon.
