I hope this is the correct forum for this issue. When in world builder, the game crashes when changing ocean plots to land. I realize it is a power struggle for my computer in some way, not sure whether it is the processor or the graphics driver. The thing I want to know is if there is a certain type of landscape that is easier on my computer than others. I really want to finish my map. One I get the ocean turned to land, I can edit it into whichever type later on.
Is there a way to keep civ iv from crashing during this process of ocean to land transformation? Something about the switch from an ocean tile to a land tile is draining the computer more than anything else in the entire game, forcing it to crash. I just want to know if there is a way around this. Why would the process of ocean to land tiles cause such a drain, and what is the actual source?
Once I know what the cause is, perhaps I can fix the problem and finish my map for once.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
