Civ Modding Question

Is there a way to change a civs traits or change the traits themselves without a mod? Is there a way to go into the XML files or something and edit them?

I poked around but this was above my technical expertize.

Any help would be great

Yes, in the Civ4TraitInfos file.

As for a LH's traits, that's controlled in the Civ4LeaderHeadInfos file.

Also: Civ4TraitInfos did not change from Warlords to BtS so it is found in the warlords folder. An you should put all your changes in the customAssets folder (never modify original files).

Ok I checked out the file. Oddly it has most of the traits factors but it seems not the 1/2 buildings part. Am I not seeing it or is that function a part of the buildings XML?

Yes, that's in the buildingsInfos.xml.
