Civ Player Nationality

I'm Canadian (American is closest in Civ4) with a background of English (English), French (French), German, (German), and Russian (Russian). Of those, I play Germans and Russians most often, and never Americans and English (Another family member plays Americans only and his ally is always English!).

America (due to my American and Australian citizenship), England (due to my Australian citizenship and due to the fact that I live in Australia), India (due to my Pakistani citizenship and the fact that I'm half-Punjabi) and Russia (due to the fact that I'm quarter-Serb eighth-Slovene and eighth-Russian, and have a Serbian citizenship).

half chinese
quarter german
quarter new zealander

lived my whole life in portugal... so PORTUGUESE! Thats my nationality.

N.B. Tambem sou Benfiquista, que e muito importante!

I'm British Indian, but I have never played either the English or the Indians in any Civ game.

I pick my Civ based on their traits and UU / UB, so far Qin Shi Huang has by far become my favorite.

Set up three big culture cities. Make sure you get the Statue of Zeus and the Chichen Itza (I put Chichen Itza in a military city to not disturb my Culture farms). Train plently of Drill II Chu Ko Nu's for defense from a few military cities with barracks (3-6 first strikes!!!). Make sure all your cities have walls + castles a.s.a.p.

PWN anyone that dares to attack you before Rifling

Its pure nasty. :smug:

I'm from Belgium, from the Dutch-speaking part of the country. So the Netherlands would be the closest civ currently. But in the past, the area were I live has belonged to the Celts (The Belgae tribes of Northern Gaul), the Roman Empire, the Holy Roman Empire (as part of the bishopric of Liege), Spain (Charles V), France (Napoleon), The Netherlands (at the time of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands) and we were occupied by Germany twice last century ;)

Ah, Belgium: The Land of Beer and Chocolate; what's not to love?

Ah, the first time I came across Belgians on these forums. I was starting to wonder if there where no Belgians on civfanatics (pun). Anyway greetings from a northern neighbour :).

Hey, J-Man, I love Nijmegan, too; ran a marathon there about 10 years ago. I'll take Belgian beer and chocolate, but the Dutch have prettier girls. :)
