I've had Civ III for over a couple years so with Civ IV coming not sure it would be worth getting the new version and expantion pack. However if it has the editor with fixes and allows custom units to be added it would be worth it while I wait on Civ IV.
Just curious if anyone knows. Otherwise, I just hold off for Civ IV in June. Thats one of the things I love about the game is being able to customize it. Also any one know about the Mac version of Civ IV will it have the editing ablity wintel players have.

C3C does not have an editor. As one of the prominent and obviously-named threads already discusses.

CIV may or may not, it is not yet determined. But as of the last mention, it looks promising.

I have it (civ III editor) installed on my Mac. I can set senario settigns build maps, change rules etc. all except add new units. You also can not get the player starting position fixed either. So with the new release of Civ III they didn't debug it or include it?
I know Civ IV PC version has an extensive edit ablity from what I read. I'm assuming that would be ported to the Mac. Because it sounds like there should be very little differences betwwen the two Civ IV

Beamup was referring to Civ4, I believe.
