Civ VI Crash on loading / Corrupt Savefiles

Dear Technical Support,

I am again having issues with Civ VI where one of my savefiles corrupts and whenever I try to load my game I get a CTD. I have recorded this exact problem already, without any help: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/game-crashes-on-loading-a-savegame.657088/

This is the second time where I got really invested into a game (8+ hours) and the game keeps me from finishing it. If I don't find a fix for this problem soon I honestly see no other way than quitting Civ VI entirely. This is honestly not just frustrating, but incredibly insulting, to have a really damn expensive game, that is released for years now, still with absolutely game-breaking errors.

I have not been able to finish a single singleplayer game ever since I bought R&F and G&S. For some godforsaken reason the bug does not turn up in multiplayer. Not one. I don't think I'll be spending 60+ bucks for another firaxis game anymore.

This save fails to load like the one you sent previously. Have you opened a support ticket at 2K? https://support.2k.com/hc/en-us
It might at least help to make sure they are aware of the problem. If this is a persisting problem and it doesn't get fixed, I'd say you have a pretty good reason to apply for a refund, even though Steam's 14 days/2 hours limit is long gone.
Although I'm not a huge fan of all EU legislation, consumer rights are great compared to many other regions.

yes, two days ago. have not received an answer yet.

let's hope that is the case! though honestly I would much prefer if I could just finish one game, I was doing so well :X

I have started yet another game in hope of it working and it again crashed in the midgame and my savefiles got corrupted. It seems it always crashes first during the AI turns and then even older savefiles get corrupted. No matter from which point earlier I reaload, the game still ends up crashing around the same time of the first crash, often earlier.

if anyone (besides Janskey, who has been incredibly helpful) could try the savefile I added and play a few turns, that would already really help.

I have already reached out to Firaxis via ticket days ago and haven't gotten an answer yet. Not even the first one asking for a DxDiag or crash logs or anything.

I have already tried:
- Repairing via Steam
- Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game
- Loading any amount of earlier saves
- Running the game in DX11
- Lowering all graphics options to the lowest
- Playing on smaller map types
- My graphics triber is updated
- Disabled antivirus and firewall
- I have no mods installed or enabled

I will add my specs for completions sake, but the computer is more than adequate for Civ VI:

***For anyone else experiencing this issue***

I have, through dozens of hours of testing and experimenting, finally found the cause of my crashes. It seems to have nothing to do with my PC or software, but be a problem with the game itself, hence why my crashes were replicable for other people, too. The crash only occurs when you trade with the AI, specifically when you get them to 0 gold and sell things for 1 GPT. I have found that the less I trade, the less I crash, and on a game where I did not trade at all, the game did not crash once. The more trades you do in a single turn, the likelier the game is to crash. Which literally makes it impossible for me to play optimally, since I cannot trade all my strategics away for GPT. I'm still completely lost as to why this is happening and why it manages to affect safe files. Nowadays I play making a manual save every single turn before I trade. That is the bandaid "fix" I applied and I have managed to finish 3 games since then. Customer support replied to my ticket only after one week, at which point I had invested countless hours to find the cause of my problems by myself. I will do further testing so that I can narrow down exactly when and why this happens.
