Civ VI Expansions: Brain Dump

I'd love to see a colonization & rebellion system be introduced to the game, to balance the maintaining of large empires.
  • Cities that you conquer initially would continue to produce culture for whoever had them before. Ex: Paris would continue to make French culture even if Germany had it. The longer you have a city the more it's culture becomes your own, especially if the population born under your reign exceeds that of the population born under its previous owner. This would make warmongering to take advantage of someone else's culture less OP.

This is how it was when the culture feature was first brought in in Civ 3 and the Paris analogy is exactly when they used when selling it! Each city had a breakdown of nationalities that were essentially 100% the original culture and then slowly change the longer you held them. Going to war with the mother country down the road would create unhappiness in cities that still had an amount of original people there.

Was great and another lost feature that they just threw out for no apparent reason and should come back.

Also, I forgot to mention (although it seems pretty obvious), I would like to see actual list of great people expanded (at least one great character per era and per type) :
Era name : G. General, Admiral, Scientist, Engineer, Merchant, Writer, Artist, Musician

Classical : Alexander the Great, Menas, Cai Lun, /, Priscus, Plato, /, /
Medieval : Belisarius, , Trota of Salerno, Henry the Navigator, Ibn Battuta, Chrétien de Troyes
Renaissance : Pachacuti, Vasco of Gama, Copernicus, Juan Bautista de Toledo, Erasmus, Josefa de Obidos
Industrial : Shaka Zulu, Jan Willem de Winter, Sofia Kovalevskaïa, Kim Man-deok, Victor Hugo, Nainsukh, Strauss
Modern : Zivojin Misic, William Sims, Marie Curie, Henry Ford, Coco Chanel, Marcel Proust, Pablo Picasso, Allaudin Khan
...
Also, they could create a new kind of cultural great people : filmmakers ! They could creat great worls of cinema, with the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Fritz Lang, Stanley Kubrik, Orson Welles, ...

i dont think there can BE diplomatic victory. before last couple of decades, once the cold war ended, it was included i think to represent the diplomatic victory of the usa. but here we are today with russia rapidly coming back to challenge the west, and china coming from almost nowhere from an inward looking communist nation to flexing its muscles and challenging america and its neighbours. diplomatic victory is always temporary.

It's not exactly likely to conquer the whole world. Also, people will not suddenly bow down to a country just because they get the first man on Mars. Nor does everyone kiss America's donkey just because America's culture is so dominant. Take it with a grain of salt.
