Hi, guys. I created CIV1 South Amercia scenario. You play for Argentina. Other civlilizations are placed in south america too. You can explore the map.
You have 2 cities as other civilizations. The name of cities are as in reality, terrain I tried to create in Terraform thanks to map on google earth...Martin

I will criticize "a little"
First of all, maps of this type (like the World map) are for me not suitable for the CIV1 game because they are not very playable. And the same is with your map.
What good is it that you have recreated the appearance of South America if there is too little terrain in it, so the civilizations are too close to each other.

2. Bug on bug. The CIV map cannot look like this. It must have at least one arctic square at the top and bottom across the entire width of the map.
So you have to reduce the size of the American continent at the top.
Yiu have not changed the terrain properties and visibility for the civilization, their coordinates etc..
Have you played it? It looks like it is about to crash after couple of turns.

3. You did not change the names of nations, leaders, cities.

4. Very poorly balanced map - unplayable. Unless you want to finish the game in shorter an hour.
The Argentine civilization is very developed in a good place and other civilizations have a developing problem.
Mongols dont have chance to developing. His cities have to disposition only 2 square!
Betwen Argentina and Chile is only 6 square space. You have cavalry and chariot so you reach the Chile city in 4 tours (go back to the first point).
And this same case is for Germans. You have 5 tous move you cavalry to one Babylonians city.
This civilization even not have chance to bulid any unit in this time!

5. A map made quickly, on the knee, without care.
You didn't even map the world properly - what are those three two-square strange islands on the left (apart from the Galapagos Islands)?
Generally, it is simply very unfinished scenario to corrected.
But I assume that this is your first, so if you are willing and read darkpanda's posts, the next ones will be more refined and playable.
Remember to play the game yourself before posting the scenario.
And don't be discouraged. Beginnings are like that. At first, you need to learn a little how to use Jcived.

I palyed it and it works for 100%. No crash and no problem. I dont have more time to spend with it. If it is not OK for you so dont play it...

I belive you are plaing something because scenario started in 3780 BC.
And what I am talking about:
3600 Babylonians are destroyed
3620 Greeks
3560 Germans
3540 Russians
3460 Romans
3440 Chinese
3400 Americans
3380 French
3200 Mongols
At this point the game should end because dont have more enemy on the map but a game bug does not allow it. On the way i destroy Indians, Zulus and English settler or city also.

Its too easy. Ofcourse before game I see scenario map so and knew which direction to go, but player civilization is too developed!
Two caverly and 2 chariots, Lots irygated area, road and developerd discoveries while another civilizations have nothing. And moreover difficulty level is only cheftan.

Hello, so I reworked the map. Now is there Africa too. But I dont know how to rename civilizations and the cities for them, is now the map better? I changed the time for 4000 BC. All nations are back. I now that the shape and position of Africa is not 100% right, but that is dificult on the map with South America to do it. I saved starting positions for all civilizations on thr map, but I dont have toll to use it in game,so the starting positions are not how I wanted.

Thank you

I'm not the best person to ask if it's good. I'm a perfectionist so I can immediately see a lot of things that need to be improved.
I spent dozens of hours on my GOT map.

Generally, 1-square islands are pointless.
Now add nations so that they can develop and raise the difficulty level: Data/game data/Diffifulty

So I created scenario South America + Africa. There are 7 nations. Level is KING. 3 nations are located in S.A. and 4 in Africa. You are playing for Romans which are located in South America, today is there Argentina. You have only one Settler (the same conditions have all other nations). So you can found your capital city anywhere in S.A. There is one city of Barbarians in Caribic/Caribbean. I dont know how to rename nations, I made scenarion in Terraform. In the future I can do it and save loctions for each nation. This scenario is CIVIL3.

Than I made almost the same scenario CIVIL6. Defference is only that your starting position is in Africa - South Africa region. All other positions are the same.

So you can play in South America or in Africa on the begining.

I mean it could be good scenario. Because I nowhere found bigger map of South America and Africa so I created them and gave together in one scenario.

I don't know Terraform. From what I remember, I once installed it and decided that Jcived is better and in addition, it has a thread on the forum where you can ask about program antd its it good for me in the beginning.

I dont want be picky too much because it's your map and maybe people will enjoy playing it, but I would change many things.
Cuzco is in a slightly different place than Inca Settlers. And here I would move the mountains away by one square so that the city would have a greater possibility to development.
What's more, the Amazon is in the wrong place, Paraguay has a different stream, Colorado and Orinoco as well. I don't know what the 3rd river is at the bottom, but for example, there is no Sao Francisco. There is no Guiana highland.
I won't look at the Andes themselves. This is only when I look at South America. So you see. Maybe despite the RAW errors, the map doesn't crash, but for me it's still a bit unfinished.

Remember. In your map will be played people who are interested, i.e. most often those who know the given geographical area and may be unhappy that something is not like in reality. That is why I try so hard.

Hello, thank you very much for your help. I will try to rewrk terrain according to relity. Could you please help me and rename nations in this map?

Martin

Good to see someone new taking an interest in this stuff! Welcome, and I'll be sure to check it out when I get some free time. Any questions on tools and the like, I can probably answer. I already responded to the jcived one on the other thread.

Hello, so I finally opened JCIVed on my old computer. I renamed nations which are in this scenario, it means 3 nations in South America and 4 nations in Africa. And I renamed some cities on the list. But I dont know how to rename nations which are not in the scenario-game at the moment and if some nation will be destroyed it will come another nation which is not form South America or Africa. For example Greeks or Germans. I dont know how to rename them. I renamed Barbarians too, they Are pirates from Caribbean Now, So Caribbeans. I changed little bit Terrain in Peru to be it better place for playing. I created Madagaskar too. I Hope IT Will not Crash the game because of position. I would like to make starting position for player in Africa too, but IT make Sence First when all nations Will be renamed. Names of presidents I took from Wiki. Im not from South America or Africa So I really dont know if I choosed the best persons.

Hi guys, here is the South America + Africa scenario in which you are playing for South Africans. There are 7 nations. 3 in South America and 4 in Africa.
Here are too Barbarians = Caribbeans and they have units + cities in Caribbean + Canarien Islands.
Each nation has only one Settler and good position to start the game...
