CIV2 premade world not all there

I have gone back to playing CIV II after enjoying the start of CIV III games but not the finish. I saw a nice map that I wanted to play and downloaded it. It was Axis 40x125. The size was 40 x 125 (hence the name). When I start on this world only part of it is present. The first time I used it - it was about the right half (looked like vertical was all present). I tried some later patches but that changed little. I am using TOT 1.1.

I downloaded a map modification program and looked at the map and it looks like what I was playing, basically the left half is not there.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Half of the map is missing when viewed in the game or with the map utility (MapEdit?)? It sounds like the map file is corrupt. Try downloading it again. Post the file here if you want someone to check it.
