I agree that Scenarios and MODs should be Recognized.
Some Thoughts and Possibilities:
I agree with Plotinus... Basic Categories would allow all to be recognized and provide an appropriate method for Voting.
Once established, New Scenarios and MODs could be Voted in.
Perhaps the Scenarios and MODS could use a Top 10 List per Category followed by a list of all other Scenarios and MODs existing in the Category.
...Would hate to leave anyone out after all the hard work required to make a Scenario or MOD.
Perhaps the overall understanding would be to honor all and include a Top 10 that would reflect CFC Members Views for each Scenario and MOD in each Category by the year.
Voting could be done once a year and the Top 10 adjusted by the year according to votes.
Voting would reflect opinions of only CFC members so perhaps other indicators could be considered such as the number of times downloaded but that would be subject to the length of time the Scenario or MOD has existed more than how outstanding it is.
...in the end, Votes from Members should probably carry more weight. This would follow the basic way other areas of CFC are voted on by members.
Voting should be based on the Scenario or MOD work and its over all excellence rather than individuals.
If Voted on each year, the Top 10 in each Category could be listed and followed by all Scenarios and MODs in each Category, all would be included and the Top 10 would simply provide what CFC Members considered to be the Top 10 for the year. This method would take all into consideration and reflect the Votes from CFC Members.
The Question to consider here is... will all Scenarios and MODs be voted on each Year
(that could become far too Large) or will that be done initially to establish this then only New Scenarios and MODs be voted on that are Uploaded each year?
Perhaps after establishing the Categories, Voting for the Scenarios and MODs and listing the Starting Top 10 for the Year by Category... New Scenarios and MODs could be voted on as Best New Scenario and MOD for the Year then a second Vote that adds the Winners for the Year could be added to the Top 10 previous Year list and all voted on to gain the Top 10 for the year.
