civ3 on XP Pro?

I recently tried to install civ3 a machine that has XP Pro and got errors on the intall with wave files. something about a cyclic replication error.
Is civ3 supported on XP Pro?
What can I do to install on XP Pro?

Mine works A OK with XP Pro. In fact, it has never crashed, even when using a TV card on my other monitor.

What is the actual message, and when exactly do you get it?

I also use XP Pro for civ 3, and the only problem ive had was the video card, (i just upgraded from Win98SE) and also whenever i tried to load up civ3 on my username it would freeze and close(but i fixed that problem, turned out to be an administrator option)
Other then that civ3 works like a charm on my pc.

I am using XP pro too, i had to do a few things to get it working OK, but now it is sweet.
I had to set my desktop to 1024x768x16bit
and i had to run the exe in windows 98/ME compatibility mode.
Maybe u need to do this to the installer to, maybe not just thought i would tell u that it does run
