A week ago I just had Civ2. Then I searched the web for Civ3 and found some pages about Call to Power. A week ago I got Call to Power myself (from a friend). It seems that this game is produced by Activision. But what is the real Civ3? Are Firaxis and Hasbro really producing a game called also Call to power or is there something else goining on? Today I was on the Acitivision Hompage and there were informations about Call to Power II. The friend (who already gave me Call to Power) is on the way to bring CTP2 to me, now.
The problem I have is: On this page is always said that Civ3 is released by Firaxis and Hasbro. But I got a game released by Activision and this game is alo called Civilisation: Call to Power. Here is talked about that Civ3 isn't already released but what's then about Activisions Civ: CTP? And now there is somebody telling me he got Call to Power II?!

Uhhh... let me set this straight. Any Civilization title by Activision is no the real civ. They just lost a court battle and CTPII is the last game they could use the name "Civiliztion" in. When the [real] CivIII comes out, it will called "Sid Meier's CivIII".

Civ 2 on playstation is made by activision and it is exacly the same as civ 2 on the PC!
the only diff I have found is that the 255 future tec problem does not apply and the other civs expand more than PC verson!

not exactly...

1) I heard PS version has (more) crappy graphics.
2) PS version can't play scenarios/modpacks you find on the web!
3) PS version can't multiplay

Also, I imagine it must be hard to input text using the gamepad... Does the PS version allow you to rename cities?

why has it gotta suck?
It dont suck to me Civ on PC has gotta suck!

what I like best about civ2 on playstation is that I am not stuck on a chair in front of the computer!
I can sit down on my bed STREACH OUT put a pillow behind my head and crush the zulus in comfort!

im not. games must take forever. i would imagine it would be a bit hard to move.

Shouldn't the graphics be better? I mean, playstation can support x million polygons, has games such as tomb raider, perfect dark, etc. The requirements for those games are much higher than civ. Civ runs perfectly on my old 486!

Why would you think its hard to move!
and I just click on my dude and tell him to go there or here!

With a PC, you can surf the net, send e-mail, write reports and papers, keep a budget, do desktop publishing, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

With a PS you can... play games.

Hmmmm...
