Hello, welcome :wavey:

Which version of Civ3Edit do you have? Version 1.32.1 launches OK here, in OS 10.3.7. There have been previous reports of mysterious failures like yours, but we've never got to the root of the problem.

Does your log give any clues? Open /Appications/Utilities/Console. Click the Logs button at the left hand end of the toolbar. Select ~/Library/Logs, then CrashReporter and look for Civ3Edit.crash.log. Look for something like the following report header (ignore the OS version - this was an old one), and if there's anything to see, copy/paste it here. Can't promise it'll mean anything, but we can try.

Code:

Are you running English versions of Mac OS and Civ3?

Your English is very good, but there was one clue in your post that indicated you may not be a native English speaker ;) I have suspected in the past that the editor was failing with non-English software versions, but I was never able to pin it down. People who reported the problem didn't seem to stick around long enough to investigate.

If it *is* a compatibility problem with the German version of Civ3 then I'm not sure what to suggest. I don't have a German version of Civ3 that I could use to try to reproduce this. Your best bet is probably to contact MacSoft and ask if they know of the problem and have a solution. I think they distribute both Civ3 1.21g and the editor, though I don't know if this applies in Germany. If they do then I guess they have a responsibility to make them work together for you.
