Civ4 on HP 6910p

Has anyone tried this? Just wondering how well it will run. Specs are:

2GB RAM
2.00Ghz processor
Mobile Intel GMA X3100 video

Should it be OK spec wise?

Yeah I realise it is not going to be great, but with the graphics turned down, do you think it will run at a reasonable speed? Or should I just upgrade my desktop instead?

PC games no doubt runs better on desktop unless you spend top dollar for a laptop. I have GMA 950 (laptop) and get 10 fps with civ4 on low setting but any new games like C&C 3 won't work without a descent graphic card.

Your only problem is your graphics, everything else is great. Also make sure that the card supports T&L, if it doesn't the game won't run right.

Thanks. From what I have read, the X3100 should be faster than the GMA 950, so I will give it a go. Hey, if it is slow, I will just shelve the game for a little while..
