for eg the game of civ4but insteadthe current battles (civ4)we have themmore like totalwar

Given the amount of battles that can take place in a single turn, I would say this would be a bad idea. Not to mention that I think one of the main reasons Total War doesn't have a Campaign-based multiplayer is simply because of how time-consuming it would be to wait for each player to go through each battle. If it happened in Civ, it would kill the whole experience.

Besides, Civ is essentially all about the long term strategic element, not the tactics of specific battles. :)

Could be a good idea, but would be too difficult to make.

Indeed. The total war games already get released in a totally broken and unplayable state.... so I can't imagine how badly they'd **** it up if they tried to make it even more complicated.

Its a great idea in theory, but in practice, its not going to be possible in the forseeable future.

I think it's a good idea if they give the option to turn the "total war-stylish battles" on or off.

(1.) Yeah, but mixing TW and Civ would be too time-consuming, (2.) and it needs hell of a computer.

1. For the developers this would probably be the case. If there would be an on/off button in the advanced option screen you'd at least have the choice for fast or time-consuming warfare. Furthermore, now (in cIV) you attack with all of your units individually attacking all of the defenders individually, in TW you attack with all attackers at once vs all defenders at once. It will still take you a bit longer to attack and defend but it would also be more fun (and realistic).

2. No way, Rome Total War runs way faster than cIV on my pc, because the battles are not fought on the map. Insead you "zoom in" to the battlefield after some loading-time (yet in firaxis' case this would prolly take 10 times as long as TW:) )

I would stop at interesting. I do think they could use a little SimCity like city building aspects (build up your cities the way you want). But that would also drain your resources. I'm currently satisfied. Especially with so many awesome mods in the works (for RTW that is).

And EB does increase the difficulty, and actually makes the ranged attacks more realistic (more men die, more quickly from ranged attacks).

I agree and have often wondered what it would be like, I think its a much better idea then say Civ5 being online kinda like WOW style of game. IMO thatll be the end of the civ series.

Why did I receive a hard warning for asking for a cd crack? CD crack simply allows a person to play the game w/out using the source CD which they already own. I was not asking for an illegally copied file. The reference was made to make it easy for me to play with the copy I already have.

Hitti- I have the game. Don't you know what a cd crack is?

CD crack is a file that allows downloaded games to work, so I thought that you hadn't bought the game. And if you would want the crack, you would find just by googling it, I think.
