Civ5 Multiplayer Broken

Right, so this latest exp Brave New World, has added something to the game which apparently breaks my multiplayer ability to play. Prior to the latest expansion (which I do not own) the game ran multiplayer fine.

I have no camera control, the fog of war does not clear, I can command my units, use my interface, but have no ability to see or effect the gameboard in anyway shape for form from my computer.

This problem does not occur in single player.

I have turned pitboss off, no change.
I adjusted down all my graphics settings, no change.
I have verified files, no change.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, no change.
I have updated my drivers, no change.

I am at a complete loss as to why the game has suddenly started doing this. Has anyone else run into this or figured out a fix?
