[CIV5] Revolutions and BarbarianCiv

A forum for discussing the possibility of a new incarnation of BarbarianCiv in Civ5. Looks like there will be an existing mechanism to make life easier.

The word "city" will also become increasingly important in Civ5 thanks to the addition of city-states. These small, single-city nations are available for players to take by force if they wish, but can also be dealt with through diplomacy

So there's a hint at a mechanic for barb civ.

Yeah, it looks like they're going for a EU look with tons of small civs, but 'cheating' by limiting them to single city-states. I think they'd be wise to steal the Revolutions system of generating new civs though.

At least there seems a lot of hope for barbarian civ in a civ5 world. Phew.

I did read though that the barbarians would all start at a single city and spread from there. Seems kind of strange to me, since the barbarians weren't supposed to be a single civilization but a collection to throw all the smaller groups that harassed larger civs. That might make it harder for barbarian civ as well.
