- Where did you settle your city?
on spot after checking sw with warrior.
- What did you research and which policies did you choose and why?
went for pottery and started with 6 turns to complete, Mining and foreign trade since I got the eureka...
- What was your build order?
scout builder holy site settler
- How soon did you build a District? Which ones did you prioritize?
First holy site was finished turn 31 - I didn't go for Stonehenge and decided to get Religion "the old way"...
Pericles got Stonehenge, was the first (2120BC), I was 2nd (1640 BC).
- How did you place your districts?
placed HS in Kyoto next to city center, later Commercial hub next to HS, river and cattle, If I need to get there I'll go for Gr. Zimbabwe later... currently building Mahabodj.temple, Pedro got the Oracle but I didn't try for that...
- Did you emphasize expansion? How many cities have you built/captured in the first 100 turns?
No and I'm a bit surprised myself that I didn't. Since I'm focusing much more on religion and a certain victory type than in a normal game. London was just to close so I decided to get rid of her. Victoria had quite a decent number of units, took a bit, but went nicely of course.. took two cities from her. - Still with 4 cities on turn 100 all of them with HS... having about 60 faith per turn... running 100% HS adjacency bonus...
- How did you play your governance cards, priorities?
started with God King and faith porduction...
My Religion got Religious Communities helping with housing (another reason for late expansion this game and Mosques and now I added holy order and Tithe (+1G for 4 followers) with my first 2 apostles)
Will aim use one Apostle for inquisition next and the other for spreading (hopefully the Mahabodj.) guys...
- What City-States did you meet and which ones did you cultivate to your side?
lots and emphasized on religious ones, of course - just lost souzerainity of Yerevan to Pericles so I gotta take it back asap!
- Were your neighbors peaceful?
Yep - Got denounced by Pericles and expect a DOW withing the next few turns...
- How were the Barbarians?
the first 2 scouts appeared on turn 5 so they were there early. They were never a threat to me except when wandering alone far away from home - lost a scout far north near Arabia which was a pity since there was a GH I couldn't get. Another scout is in trouble right now... No barbs near my borders, but annoyingly around the other civs like flies...
- Any surprises?
Went for pyramids. Don't know if that was a mistake, but I like it
I will have to finish Pericles off either via war or religiously and I should be good...
I tend to not focus to much on one Victory condition and find myself approaching the game too broad, I think...
Very interesting diversity in development in this thread...
Any suggestions are appreciated...
