Ehrm.. I can use "MSPaint" .. If you want a PTW-map to look like a political map (?), it can be done with a little editing in Photoshop. Wich I also can use.

It's going to be on the map page, though I will be making links to the individual nations on the members's page.
I will in addition create a page for the political map, replacing the direct image linking you made.
Hmm, how do I download the current website from the geocities filemanager thing? I tried using FTP, but apparantly that's reserved to "pro users" , so the FileManager will have to do.

Yes, you just have to save the pages you want to to change and then upload them again. When you do the political map thing could you use the image directly from my server rather than storing it locally, then when I update it it'll be a lot easier for me. The Durham sever is very fast (faster than geocities) so there won't be any delay.

Hmm, that suck... I'm going to need to upload the 37 flags of Civfanatican countries, with that system it will take ages.
Is there no place we could get a free webhost with FTP access?

You can pull the flags directly from Nation States if you want, then there will be automatic updates. You can other info like currency and latest policy like that as well, there is a piece on it on the news sction.

It wouldn't take that long to upload them all using File Manager, but I agree that if we can find a better host we should use it. When I first started using geocities it allowd ftp so it was pretty good and I've never bothered to move my site.

For personal reasons I'm not going to be able to spend any time on Nation States for quite a while. So I've had to give up the UN deligacy and my other responsibilities for the maps and the web-site.

Kinniken and Cilpot both have the password for the site, so I'll leave it up to them to appoint a new web-master.
Also, whoever wants to take over the maps is welcome. They are currently stored on my server, I'll leave them there for the time being but I can't promise they'll be there forever, so if somebody else can host them or shift them to the geocities site, that would be great.

If you're editting the maps, you can just use a simple bitmap editor. The text is all arial font - size 8 for country names and bigger for titles and oceans.

I wouldn't recommend that the new UN deligate takes on these roles. I've had to spend a lot of time trying to keep everything up to date, too much time really.

I've enjoyed playing this quite a lot and I wish Civfanatica the best of luck. Sorry about doing all this at such short notice.
