I reserved www.civfanatica.clan.st for it, a bit faster than the geocities URL and can alway be changed if someone get a better webhosting up.
I'll like to work on it, but during the week I am behind my University firewalls and I cannot use FTP So, can someone send me the zipped website to cedricdj@fleming.u-psud.fr ?
In particular, I'll like to make a map with active zones for each country and a short description of the country + its flag appearing below as your mouse pass over it. Already done it for an other website, looked great.
I might even try using PHP after my exams are over (no time now...)

This looks much better, HTML is not my strong point. Could you change the images URL for the regional maps to:
http://www.dur.ac.uk/m.r.hughes/map_name
That way when I update them it will automatically update on the site.

Ah, Ok.. I was under the impression that you wanted to do it. I have not, however, access to any powerful web-editors, so what I could contribute with in the development would be limited to HTML, ImageEditing(Photoshop) and well... thats about it.

Anyway, I would like to contribute in anyway that I can. For now I will then be editing a bit on the geocities site, and people can comment the general layout of the site.

EDIT: The post was in response to Kinniken

@Thrawn: Those pesky ads are the drawback with Geocities.. It is especially bad when browsing with Opera (me), and the browser does not know whats going on..

Good work on the site, everyone.

There's no reason why a few people can't work on the site. As the person who registered the geocities account, I am legally responsible for the content and so I will have to have the final say as long as we are using that space. However, I'm quite happy to let anyone who wants to work on the site, pm me for the password.

If no-one has any objections, I would like to suggest the following:

Cilpot has responsibility for overall site layout, menus and so on.

Kinniken has responsibility for special features within the site, eg the multimedia map.

I will manage some of the text updating such as the resolutions page.

Could I remind people who are working on the site to make sure they make their changes to the latest version of the site (ie the one on the geocities server) so that other people's work doesn't get overwritten. I've created a file update.txt in the main directory, can you please list any changes you've made in that.

It's good except I think the resolution info was better with just a table around the whole resolution rather than dividing it up into bits.
