Civilization 3 Complete Edition Unit Skipping Problem

On Civ Complete edition when I start a new game after about 15-20 or so turns I will use the 'Go To' button to move a unit and when I move them to that spot the unit will keep moving off the screen and come back on the other side of the screen in an endless cycle, at which time the game freezes. Any idea how to fix this problem? My specs are attached.

3. I changed the amount of game turns from 540 to 1000 when I started a new game if that has anything to do with it...

I just unistalled it and reinstalled it, and ecountered the same problem.

I reinstalled it a second time, with same effect. Any ideas on how to fix it?

It happens every time I play a game, and last time it happened on the 1st turn. I never got to save anything.

Well, if it's every game... Sounds like a buggy install. And you said aside from moving the turn limit from 540 to 1000 you haven't made any changes...

That is correct.

I dunno...maybe try it on a different machine, if possible, and see if it has the same problem there.

Thank you for your help. I have no other machine currently, but I am about to purchase a new computer, so when I get it I will try it on that.
