When I try to install Civilization 3 Complete Edition on my Windows XP computer, I get a message said "The application or DLL F:\MSVBVM60.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette." What is my computer going wrong here? If you can help me, please do, thank you much. :)

I'm not quite sure what it could possibly mean, but it might be because the disk you are using is either corrupt or damaged, or your system isn't reading it properly. You can try cleaning the disk, and opening the CD in My Computer. You right click on the CD and select Explore, and inside the folder double click on setup.exe.

I have exactly the same problem. Researching on the net shows it's not a disc problem - it's a problem with the file itself. However no-one seems to have an actual fix for it! Any ideas anyone at all?

Additional info:
The readme file on the CD has a troubleshooting section which states SETUP.NOW launch Errors
-----------------------
If any error messages occur whilst trying to run setup.now,
please try running the VBM60SP6.EXE file which can be found in
the \SONOW\BIN directory on the CD/DVD

I have tried this, however it doesn't tell you where to drop it into (tis a .zip file) - have tried both system and system32 and still doesn't work :S

It's an exe, just run it.
