Maybe it would be a good idea to have a fixture list so that everyone can work through the list. This may be better than just simply picking an opponant to play because it should stop some people from having to play 10 games at a time whilst others only play one or two.

Do these count towards the current ranks that Smash maintains?
I think they should but I just want to check.

In regards to your list suggestion, I'm considering methods of implementation.

As far as the game counting towards Smash's list, I don't see why not. What Smash is maintaining is a player record and rating. What I'm doing is organizing games. They are two different things.

I could do that if you guys want.Or I could do a peformance rating,using the tourneys games together.

I think every tourney game should also count towards the global CFC ranking.
We play these games here and they are also simple chess games. And the global ranking would stay unupdated for a long time if we don´t count them. Because most of us will now only play tourney games and nothing else!

So we should simply give the results of a game to both Smash and mep!

In keeping with Dell19's suggestion, I'll be posting a cross table and an order of pairings. To keep the tournament moving and well organized, please play at least your first two White games and your first two Black games. After completing a game, simply continue following the list's order. Please feel free to also play additional tournament games out of order, if you wish.

Also, when starting a new thread for a game, please include "CFCT" in the subject field. Thank you.

So far the tournament seems to be running well since most of us have started playing more than one game. However Caldasar and Stormtrooper have not played any moves yet. I did pm Stormtrooper a week ago but he never answered. I would like to know how long they have before the game should be ended? I don't mind giving Stormtrooper till Monday next week, because he may have doing something over easter...
